Spring break is great time to get out geocaching. Some areas are quiet as a mouse, but others are crowded with celebrating students. Lookout Lisa recently shared her top tips for spring break geocaching on a Facebook Live, and we've got the highlights for you here.
College and university campuses are usually very quiet during their springs breaks. This a perfect opportunity to get on campus and and find those high muggle area caches while the students are gone. Parking is usually easy to find too. Be sure to watch for campus webcam caches and Adventure Labs too.
So the kids are out of school on break and they need something to do... let's go geocaching! Here the top tips for keeping kids happy and engaged.
Before you go:
Out on the trail:
Some areas can be very busy during spring breaks and will make geocaching very difficult. Let's take a look at some of them next
Spring break destinations
Where do the students go for spring break? Don't go there to go geocaching! Popular beach destinations, amusement parks, ski resorts can be very busy doing spring breaks (and any holidays actually), so best to avoid these area.
Tournament and festival areas
NCAA tournaments can take place on college campuses making what you thought would be a quiet area very busy. Watch out for local and regional festivals, farmer's markets and other pop up events.
Now get out there and go geocaching!
